The RSUG Industrial Radiation Safety Excellence Award
Rationale
The RSUG Industrial Radiation Safety Excellence Award recognises outstanding achievement and significant contributions to the advancement of radiation safety and radiation practices within Queensland industry.
The Award acknowledges individuals or teams who have demonstrated excellence, innovation or initiative in radiation safety. This may include the development or implementation of improved safety practices, systems, procedures, technologies, training, operational controls or other initiatives that have resulted in a meaningful improvement to radiation safety.
The Award is intended to recognise those working directly within the industrial radiation environment, including Radiation Safety Officers, radiation users, technicians, supervisors, managers and other industry professionals who contribute to the safe use and management of radiation sources and radiation practices.
Selection is based primarily on achievement and demonstrated impact, rather than seniority, position or length of service within the industry.
Through this Award, RSUG seeks to recognise excellence, encourage innovation and promote the continual improvement of radiation safety standards and practices throughout industry.
